Ok, I got it
Hello, my name is Trish and I LOVE STANDARD POODLES!   I first became interested in Standard Poodles as a young girl.   I always had poodles for pets, but never a Standard Poodle.   It was a great dream of mine to own one of these magnificent pets and now I own EIGHT!!

These creatures are so unique in many ways.   They are extremely loving and intelligent and have to be with their family, or they can be a bit mischievous at times if left alone.   You couldn't ask for a better watch dog or lap dog (even at their size) or even a sporting hunting dog!

We are hobby breeders, only producing one to two litters a year.   I started collecting my breeding stock over three years ago and am extremely pleased with the precious pets that I have acquired.   I own my own studs and dams.   Our poodles are our pets first and foremost.   These dogs WILL NOT   be sold or passed on once they are retired from breeding, nor will they   be bred excessively   like   machines.   These are our children, our babies and they will live out their lives on our 5-1/4 acres in the beautiful Southeastern region of gorgeous Missouri!

Our entire purpose for breeding is to of course conform to the AKC   breed standards, rules and regulations in order to produce awesome puppies which comply with the AKC standards.   Our dogs will have the appropriate health testing and puppies will be sold with a health guarantee against genetic defects and illness.   If in the event a puppy is sold and has a problem, as long as it is documented by a licensed veterinarian, we will take the puppy back and replace that puppy with one of equal value as soon as one is available.   You can check our contract for further details.

We strive to breed for conformation and beautiful temperaments.   With each breeding we are striving for perfection.   Perfection is a breeder's dream but extremely hard to achieve.   We all know in life nothing is PERFECT.   However, if one starts with the proper breeding stock one will produce healthy, intelligent, well structured puppies with great temperaments.   We mainly breed to produce pet quality puppies, which we sell at a reasonable price making them more affordable to the average family.   We will however, also have some puppies that are of show quality, as all of our breeding stock pets are from awesome champion bloodlines.   Although I don't personally show my dogs, they are of great bloodlines which are still being shown and earning AKC and UKC titles!

Our newest additions to our breeding program are our gorgeous white Standard Poodle,   Diamonds & Pearls ZsaZsa Michelle and her partner Winston Jaques Pierre.   We look forward to mating this pair as ZsaZsa has agility championship in her line and Winston is champion sired and both his parents have several AKC and UKC champions in their pedigree.   Winston is dual registered AKC and UKC.   He is a beauty.   ZsaZsa is awesome.   We really look forward to their puppies.

We are currently breeding blue, black, silver, cream and then of course our whites in the near future.

What most people don't know, especially men, is that the standard poodle is not a frufru dog as most perceive them to be.   In the   middle ages they were considered hunting and retrieving dogs.   They had   problems with their long heavy   corded coats once entering the water and most times drowned before making it back to shore with their catch.   The hunters of the middle ages are the originators of the clip that became known by the AKC as the Continental show clip.   This clip came about from the hunters looking for a way to have the poodles make it back to shore without drowning. They left the hair around the chest wall to protect all the vital organs, they shaved the legs so they would have swift movement in the water and then left the pompoms on their hips and ankles to protect the joints and keep them warm!   So as you can see now, the Standard Poodle was a man's dog before it ever became known as a fluffy frufru dog.   Come on men, give them a chance and you won't be disappointed!

We have a special whelping room set up in our home.   Our puppies come into the world with hands-on touch from my husband and myself.   We are both there to assist our dams in whelping!   Upon birth, we take their weights and immediately implement an identification system.   All of our puppies are AKC registered as both dams and sires are AKC registered   alsoand sometimes dual registered.   You can rest assured that these puppies are given a tremendous amount of human love and interaction.   We believe in CRATE training.   These puppies are raised in an elaborate whelping system, including a warming tray, with warming light system and lambswool carpeting to assist with their very first steps.   After they start to walk and eyes open, we attach a   weaning pen to their whelping pen.   They love the environment and thrive in it.   Once they are weaned from mom, they move into a crate system which gives them the security that dogs crave, going back to the days when wolves ran in packs and dens.   Dogs love having the security of their own little private, safe space and they eventually love to go to their crates to retire even when they don't have to.   This has also been proven to be the best and most efficient way to potty train puppies.   We do not believe in paper training, as it interferes with the process of eliminating outside, which is the proper place for your puppy to go.

All of our dams, sires and puppies go to our vet, Dr. Butch Jones of Crystal City, Missouri.   They receive their first exam at 3 days old when they have their tails docked and dew claws removed.   They then return to Dr. Jones for their first puppy shots and de-worming.   Each puppy is thoroughly examined and followed with Dr. Jones for all of their health care needs until they are placed in their forever homes. These puppies have the best of care possible and you can be assured of adopting a healthy puppy!
